A magnitude-5.6 earthquake struck southern Turkey on Monday, only three weeks after a devastating earthquake ravaged the area. According to Turkey’s disaster management service, the newest earthquake was concentrated in Yesilyurt, Malatya province, which reported at least one fatality. According to the Associated Press, Mehmet Cinar, the mayor of Yesilyurt, stated in a televised broadcast that numerous damaged structures collapsed during Monday’s earthquake.
