STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — It’s often been said that the sound of music stimulates the mind and soothes the soul.

The universal language, music connects cultures and even evokes emotions that words alone simply can’t express.

With those thoughts in mind, the distinguishable sounds of doo-wop oldies, disco, freestyle, contemporary classics — and tunes from the Great American Songbook — will reverberate through the ballroom of the Historic Old Bermuda Inn when JR Productions plays host to “Another Night of Entertainment, Dining and Dancing.”

The “really big show,” when music from the 1950′s to 2024 will be showcased, will unfold on Saturday evening, Sept. 28 from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. at the Rossville venue.

The musical extravaganza, that will include plenty of dancing, will promote the sounds of Stiletto & the Saxman, Just Friends and Marcello DiGregorio.

Note, as always a portion of the proceeds will benefit a worthy charity.

This year organizers have chosen Rocco Strong Inc., a 501(c)3 not-for-profit named for Rocco Gabriel DiMaggio, a 6 year-old cancer survivor, that’s dedicated to the mission of making childhood cancers a priority through increased funding and awareness.
