Another Significant Setback for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, and Prince Harry have taken another big hit, just days after their podcast deal with Spotify stopped.

The US Patent and Trademark Office allegedly turned down Meghan and Harry’s request to trademark Archetypes, the podcast that the Duchess of Sussex has on Spotify.

The Express Daily said that the royals tried to get exclusive rights to Archetypes, but the Arizona company Archetypes LLC turned them down because there was a “likelihood of confusion” with an existing brand.

A few days ago, Dior shot down rumors that the Duchess would become the new face of the expensive brand. Now, Meghan and Harry are disappointed again.

This week, Archie and Lilibet’s parents had two big losses, just days after their multi-million dollar deal with Spotify was canceled.

Last week, Spotify and the royal couple’s company said in a joint statement that the deal to make more shows had ended.

The statement said, “Spotify and Archewell Audio have agreed to part ways and are proud of the series they made with Spotify.”
