Apple has brought new features for Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro on Mac and iPad with the latest update, improving video and audio editing experience for the users and streamlining their workflows.

Final Cut Pro for Mac brings new features that simplify editing and enhance organisation. The automatic timeline scrolling feature allows editors to keep clips in view while playing the video, and they can adjust the timeline view accordingly.With the enhanced organisation feature, editors can view and differentiate clips by assigned role, making it easier to identify video and audio. They can also efficiently clean up complex sections and combine connected clips.
This update has optimised Final Cut Pro for Apple Silicon, providing a faster workflow for H.264 and HEVC exports. Object tracking with machine learning has also improved.
Final Cut Pro for iPad now has voiceover capabilities, allowing users to record live audio directly in the timeline. Stabilisation and video editing are made more accessible, and grouping clips and storylines is streamlined. The update also offers new colour-grading presets and titles. Users can import projects from iMovie for iOS and export Final Cut Pro projects to Mac for advanced editing.
New features for Logic Pro on Mac and iPad
The Mastering Assistant on Logic Pro now offers quick and professional audio enhancements, making it ideal for release-ready mixes. Users can fine-tune settings for a polished sound. The addition of 32-bit Float Recording minimises digital clipping during recording, providing studio-quality audio.
The Sample Alchemy and Beat Breaker features from Logic Pro for iPad are now available on Mac. Sample Alchemy allows users to transform audio samples into playable instruments, while Beat Breaker reshapes audio in real-time. The Tools Menu includes Slip and Rotate tools for moving content within regions. Hybrid Textures and Vox Melodics sound packs provide creative resources with new sound packs.
The new Logic Pro for iPad features Quick Sampler, which allows users to create sampler instruments from any sound and record audio with the built-in microphone or external input. Seamless app integration enables users to move between Logic Pro and other apps using Split View and Stage Manager.
Browser improvements promise to make it easier to sample preview and drag-and-drop functionality. In-app lessons cover various topics, including Mastering Assistant and Sample Alchemy. Hybrid Textures sound packs are available for users.

Existing users can get a free update to Final Cut Pro 10.7 and Logic Pro 10.8. Final Cut Pro for iPad and Logic Pro for iPad have also been updated for existing users.
New users can purchase Final Cut Pro for Rs 29,900 or Logic Pro for Rs 19,900 from the Mac App Store. New users can subscribe to Final Cut Pro for iPad or Logic Pro for iPad for Rs 499/month or Rs 4,999/year with a one-month free trial.
