Ariana Madix lit up the stage! The Vanderpump Rules star will make her Broadway debut in the long-running musical Chicago as the famous Roxie Hart.
Madix revealed the exciting news on Wednesday’s episode of Live with Kelly and Mark. She expressed her great excitement and surprise at the realization of her goal.
“It’s just the biggest dream come true,” Madix cried. “I’ve been singing and dancing since I was a little girl, and I’ve always dreamed of performing on Broadway. So to be able to do it in such an iconic show like ‘Chicago’ is just incredible.”
Madix will take the stage at New York City’s Ambassador Theatre on January 29, 2024. She will be on stage until March 24, 2024, providing viewers the opportunity to see her mesmerizing performance as the crafty and ambitious Roxie.
“I’m so excited to be joining the cast of ‘Chicago,’” Madix said. “It’s such a talented group of people, and I can’t wait to learn from them and work alongside them.”
Madix has been studying dance and honing her singing voice for years in preparation for this part. She has also been researching Roxie Hart’s character, learning about her motivations and path in the production.
“I’ve been working really hard for this opportunity,” stated Madix. “I’m so grateful to everyone who has supported me along the way, and I can’t wait to show everyone what I can do.”
Madix is no stranger to the stage. She’s been on a number of TV shows, including Vanderpump Rules, Undeclared, and Zoey 101. She’s also recorded original music and appeared in a number of stage performances.
“I’m nervous, but I’m also excited,” said Madix. “I know it’s going to be a challenge, but I’m ready for it.”
