What to know: The Hawkeyes return home after a 92-84 loss at No. 8 Creighton.

Ben Krikke scored 24 points at Creighton, Iowa’s third different 20-point scorer in three games. The Hawkeyes have had at least four players score in double figures in each game.

Ladji Dembele, a 6-foot-8, 250-pound freshman forward, has made 4 of 6 3-pointers for the Hawkeyes.

Iowa hasn’t had more than seven turnovers in a game.

Arkansas State lost 105-76 at Wisconsin, lost 81-75 at Bowling Green, and beat Alcorn State at home Tuesday, 100-86. The Red Wolves made 19 3-pointers in their win, the second-most in program history.

The Red Wolves’ leading scorer is Taryn Todd, a 6-foot-4 junior (17.7 ppg). He is from Vaughan, Ontario, went to a prep school in Nevada, and played for one season at TCU, one season at New Mexico, and one season at Northwest Florida State College before joining Arkansas State this year.

The only time the two programs have met was when B.J. Armstrong, Ed Horton and Roy Marble were Iowa freshmen. It was the first round of the Hawkeye Classic and the Hawkeyes were ranked 19th. Freshman John Tate came off the bench to score 23 points in the then-Indians’ 66-62 upset.

After the game, Arkansas State Coach Nelson Catalina was being interviewed on ASU’s postgame radio show. Iowa Coach George Raveling was nearby doing his own postgame interview.

“He said, ‘Who in the [expletive] is John Tate?’” Catalina recalled in an Arkansas Democrat-Gazette story.

“Coach, you just found out who he was,” Catalina told Raveling.
