It’s still the dead of winter and bleak and dreary outside.

How about giving your eyes something that will get them all a-flutter? As in A-R-T. There’s a lot going on in our art community and now is a great time to get out and see some of it. Here is a roundup of art shows, artist receptions and open houses to put on your calendar. Your eyes — and heart and mind — will love you for it.

First graders at Hidden Springs Elementary recently participated in a local fundraiser, “Art to the Rescue,” in collaboration with Art Source Gallery.
