Art Off the Wall returns to Carnegie Art Center today

The 9th annual Art Off the Wall exhibition and fundraiser to benefit the Carnegie Art Center in North Tonawanda will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

It’s a unique opportunity to purchase 5-by-7-inch original works of art for only $25. Artwork is donated by local award-winning and emerging artists with a variety of styles and mediums represented.

For a $15 admission price at the door, patrons will receive a complimentary drink and hors d’oeuvres. There are also 25 fast passes available for $25 each, which guarantees those ticket holders are the first 25 to select artwork from the wall.

Every presale ticket sold is entered to win up to $140 in framing from Five Points Framing for their art purchases.

The event runs as a first come, first serve sale. Patrons walk away with their purchase that evening and have an opportunity to frame artwork on site through Five Points Framing who will be set up. In addition to the art sale, a fine art silent auction will take place in the East Gallery where attendees can bid on artwork by regional artists. Participating artists have the option to receive a portion of the proceeds from the silent auction.

Since its inaugural event in 2015, the mission of Art Off the Wall is to benefit the local art community while raising funds for the Carnegie Art Center located in the landmark Carnegie Library (est. 1904).
