Artist Ken Anderson donates painting to Friends of the Oregon Library


Ken Anderson, a 49-year resident of Oregon, has painted a detailed watercolor of the old and new Oregon Public Library buildings, and recently donated a framed copy to hang in the new library,

And has offered the rights to the image to the Friends of the Oregon Library.

Anderson is a painter, a sculptor, a Vietnam veteran and a pilot whose art represents still life images in precise as well as what he refers to as “loose images” in watercolor or acrylics. He also depicts many military motifs in his painting, drawing and sculpture.

The Friends group are selling signed limited edition unframed prints of this work for $25, available for purchase from the Friends of the Library. Email [email protected] if you are interested.

They will also be for sale at the spring Used Book Sale at the Library on April 11-12, 2025. Other plans for the images include the as the header of the Friends stationary, and potential other projects such as tote bags and notecards.
