The Department of Arts and Culture will host an Artist Talk with Rolando Briseño on Thursday, November 14 from 6pm – 8pm in Centro de Artes Gallery.
At this event, the artist will walk through the gallery discussing his life and work and answering audience questions.
This event is part of the programming for Dining with Rolando Briseño: A 50-year Retrospective. The first retrospective devoted to Rolando Briseño and his prolific career dating back to 1966. Curated by Ruben C. Cordova, PhD, the exhibition features 75 works grouped into ten thematic sections featuring drawings, lithographs, paintings, photographs, and work in the public art space. The unifying focus of the exhibition is food—from the literal (tablescapes and dining habits) to the metaphorical (cultural mixing and the structure of the universe).
This event is free & open to all.
