Artnight Pasadena Is A Free Cultural Odyssey Friday, Powered by Shuttle Service

Pasadena is set to become a sprawling canvas of creativity as ArtNight Fall 2024 returns on Friday, Oct. 18, offering residents and visitors a free evening of art, music, and entertainment across the city’s most prominent cultural institutions.

The event, from 6 to 10 p.m., showcases Pasadena’s commitment to accessible arts and culture, featuring multiple venues
connected by an innovative shuttle service.

“We have shuttles for the event, one to start at each venue and several at the City Hall hub,” said Rochelle Branch, Pasadena’s Cultural Affairs Division Manager. “The shuttles actually run beyond the 10 p.m. end time to bring patrons back to central hubs.

However, attendees should note that shuttle service is limited due to regional bus and driver shortages. Alternative transportation options include Pasadena Transit Route 10 and the Metro Gold Line.

Branch said ArtNight, an ongoing partnership among many cultural institutions and the Cultural Affairs Division, has evolved significantly over time and has adapted to new arts and cultural
organizational partners, which provide a diversity of programming “to reach all ages across a wide spectrum of demographics and media.”

The event now encompasses a broader range of arts organizations, offering programming that caters to various age groups and demographic segments. This expansion reflects Pasadena’s rich cultural landscape and the city’s dedication to fostering community engagement.

City Hall, located at 100 N. Garfield Ave., will serve as a central hub, featuring autumn festivities, music, and seasonal art activities. The event includes multiple routes connecting various cultural venues.

Participating locations include museums, galleries, community centers, and educational institutions, many of which will offer special exhibitions, performances, and interactive activities. The event also incorporates City-funded MiniGrants, supporting various artists and performers at different locations.
