
READING- An Arts and Culture Action Plan Community Showcase will be held at the Reading Public Library on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
The showcase presented by the Town of Reading and the Metropolitan Area Planning Council will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the library’s community room. According to the event description, attendees are invited “to review the draft Arts and Culture Plan goals” and discuss
“performing arts, cultural facilities, community art, cultural diversity and more.”

Select Board meets tonight
The Select Board will meet on Jan. 21 at Town Hall starting at 7 p.m. The meeting will begin with reports from the Select Board liaison and Town Manager reports followed by updates on trash cart rollout and the DPW generally. Also, there will be an update on downtown parking/kiosks and a discussion about the future of the senior center.
To conclude, there will be an update on the MBTA Turnback Track before the meeting adjourns to executive session.

Senior Center forum on Jan. 28
The next forum regarding the Reading Center for Active Living will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 28.
The public forum follows a previous meeting on the subject on Dec. 17. The upcoming forum will be held at the Pleasant Street Senior Center starting at 7 p.m. According to the event description, refreshments will be served at the event and the forum will be aired on RCTV.
