YAKIMA, Wash. – The City of Yakima Arts Commission is calling on Central Washington artists to submit digital images for a garbage receptacle project.

The commission said in a release that the “Keep Yakima Beautiful” project seeks paintings, drawings, and digital art related to the environment and natural beauty that represents the Yakima Valley.

Artists have until Friday, February 28 to submit their images.

Details: 

• Showcase Your Art: Feature your work on one or more City of Yakima garbage receptacles. 

• Enrich the Community: Share local artistry with residents and visitors while enhancing the visual appeal of Yakima. 

• Submission requirements: Two (2) digital samples of artwork to wrap two (2) garbage receptacles on four (4) sides.
