Austin Food and Wine festival comes to town for its 12th year

The 12th Food and Wine festival began Saturday at Auditorium Shores with several chefs, restaurants and wine experts attending from across the country. Several attendees travelled from across Texas and even out-of-state to see what the festival has to offer.

The festival is presented by Food & Wine Magazine and C3 Presents, and attendees were able to sample signature dishes from top chefs from all over the country.

“We have tons of different programs available,” festival partnerships manager Tyler Dunson said. “The festival brings in 50 to 100 restaurants from across Austin and the state of Texas.”

The festival was interactive for attendees to explore all of the different kinds of food and restaurants offered.

The festival featured an on-grilling event with chef Tim Love, where engaging cooking demonstrations and bites were featured at the Fire Pit.

“We’ve got chef demonstrations in the chef demo tent,” Dunson said. “It’s a chance for our patrons to come in and learn some of the best tips that they can learn from these acclaimed food masters from across the world.”
