From Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff to Novak Djokovic and Andrey Rublev, some of the best tennis players in the world are inching closer and closer to winning a major title at the Australian Open. But nothing is guaranteed or easy. Daniil Medvedev, who came back and won his second round match at nearly 4 a.m. after dropping the first two sets, learned that the hard way.
There will be plenty more lessons learned during Round 3 of the Australian Open. The third round begins Thursday night and goes into Friday morning, beginning at 9 p.m. Eastern on ESPN. Also, for a fee, you can tap into ESPN+ starting at 7 p.m. Eastern to catch some of the earlier action in the third round.
