In a new social media post, Azealia Banks apologized for making derogatory remarks about fellow rapper Lizzo.
The 32-year-old singer issued an apology on Instagram, admitting her error in publicly calling out the Truth Hurts artist.
In a letter, she said, “I was having a conversation last night and realised that I owe Lizzo a huge apology for popping so much s***.”
Banks accused Lizzo earlier this year of “making a fool of her black self and talent for a white American public.”
The Luxury rapper criticized the Good as Hell singer at the time, stating, “Saddest bit is that the girl is legit talented and truly only being allowed to shine so long as she allows herself to be this millennial mammy of sorts.”
In the middle of an ongoing lawsuit filed by her former employees, Lizzo received a Humanitarian Award at the Black Music Action Coalition event in Los Angeles in September.
In August, her former workers accused her of sexual harassment and creating a toxic work environment.
According to Page Six, the artist and her legal team obtained signed testimonies from 18 of her employees refuting the charges made by three of her ex-dancers in a sexual harassment lawsuit.
