I attended the Saturday edition of the Sacramento heavy metal festival Aftershock with my brother Kelvin on Oct. 12. I hadn’t been to a big rock festival like that in ages, so I decided to compare and contrast the old-school ones and new-school ones in various ways and judge which was better.
Ticket check back in the day: I have known people who bought their tickets from a BASS outlet months in advance, counted down the days until it was time for the show and then arrived at the venue only to discover they forgot their tickets. I have never done that as I always had a visual and audible ticket check procedure that I went through before even starting the car.
