Baltimore’s stolen car crisis: Robbery spree and property damage leave victims devastated

Two victims were affected by Baltimore’s seemingly never-ending stolen car problem.

One man was in town for the Morgan State University’s homecoming when his Kia Soul was stolen from his hotel parking lot.

The car was then used for a weeks-long robbery spree in Baltimore County, mostly targeting ATM machines.

The victim did not want to share his name but shared his experience with FOX45.

“I’ve been to Philly, car sits, we’re good. I go to DC, car sits, nothing happens. I went to Baltimore, and my car got stolen,” said the victim.

Two men were arrested for the robberies and the stolen car, Khaleb Edmonds and Darius Davon, both from West Baltimore.

A few miles away from their last robbery, Laurie Price was woken up by a loud boom.

“It’s not only shocking, but it’s really kind of devastating,” said Price.

A stolen Hyundai crashed into her garage door at 3:30 on Wednesday morning.

“This isn’t just fun and games, I mean you could have really hurt somebody,” said Price.

Her total damages are estimated at close to $10,000.

“The person’s car that was stolen isn’t gonna pay for it,” said Price.

The suspects who hit Price’s house fled on foot and are still on the loose.
