CORBIN — On Wednesday, October 18, Baptist Health Corbin hosted Living in the New Norm at the Corbin Public Library. This is a lunch and learn series held each month to provide free health and financial education to our community. Guest speakers this week were Lindsey Jones, RN, Breast Care Navigator for Baptist Health Corbin, and Tony Iskander with MFS.
Lindsey spoke about Breast Cancer Awareness month and how important it was for women to get an annual mammogram. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women in the United States, except for skin cancers. It is about 30% (or 1 in 3) of all new female cancers each year. Mammograms are self scheduled so anyone can call the Baptist Health Corbin Breast Care at 606.528.0621 and schedule yours today.
Tony Iskander with MFS presented “Navigating Some Dos and Don’ts of Wealth Building.” Tony discussed how building wealth can be a life-long journey, and as with life, there are stages to building it. Tony discussed each stage, as well as the actions you can take and missteps to avoid in pursuing wealth that may last a lifetime or beyond.
The series is a collaborative effort by Baptist Health Corbin and Edward Jones-Beth Davis.
