WILSON, N.C. — February 14, 2025 —The Friends of Visual Arts Spring Lecture, presented by the Barton Art Galleries at Barton College, will feature Carly Jones, President and CEO of Artspace in Raleigh, N.C. The event will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 25, at 6 p.m., in the Barton Art Galleries in Case Art Building on campus.

About the Speaker —
Carly P. Jones is an arts executive and performing artist from Raleigh, N.C., with more than a decade of experience in arts administration. She is the president and CEO of Artspace, which supports the largest community of artists under one roof in North Carolina, providing accessible arts education, subsidized studio space, and community programs.
Previously, Jones was senior program director for artists and organizations at the North Carolina Arts Council, where she oversaw grants and resources for artists statewide and managed the distribution of more than $15 million in pandemic relief. She also organized “Under One Roof,” a virtual benefit concert that raised more than $50,000 for artists affected by COVID-19.
Jones is dedicated to arts equity and has collaborated with organizations such as the North Carolina African American Heritage Commission and the North Carolina Museum of Art. She has served as director of communications and development at Arts Together and as festival director for the African American Cultural Festival of Raleigh and Wake County, where she earned the Trailblazer in the Arts Award. Jones is an active performer and serves on the boards of Arts North Carolina and the Downtown Raleigh Alliance. She holds degrees in arts administration, Black music history and vocal performance from Miami University.
