Basking Ridge fourth grader wins scholarship in international music competition


BERNARDS TWP. – Ivy Yin, 9, a fourth grade student at Oak Street Elementary School in Basking Ridge, has been awarded a second prize and $750 scholarship from the Philadelphia International Music Festival’s (PIMF) semi-annual Online Concerto Competition.

The event attracted more than 200 submissions from 11 countries, with over $20,000 in scholarships and performance opportunities awarded to 10 young musicians who took the top spots.
