Beautiful and blue! Aquamarine jewellery to capture the stunning appeal of March’s birthstone


Like its name and colour, the legends that surround this semi-precious blue stone, all pertain to the ocean. The Ancient Greeks believed they were washed ashore after spilling from the treasure chests of sirens; half bird and half woman creatures, who lured sailors to their peril with the sweetness of their songs.  Believing the stone capable of calming stormy waters, sailors would wear aquamarine amulets for protection during long ocean voyages.
