Beyoncé Applauds Blue Ivy’s Tenacity Before Her Concert Debut on the “Renaissance Tour”

Beyoncé did not raise a slacker.

When Blue Ivy – Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s eldest – first joined her mother on stage for the record-breaking Renaissance World Tour, she was chastised for her “lackluster moves,” much to Beyoncé’s chagrin.

However, according to a New York Times review of the just released Renaissance performance film, the talented preteen did not let detractors on social media bring her down.

On the contrary, rather than giving up, she listened to the feedback and came back stronger than before.

“But it thrilled her mother that instead of quitting, she decided to put in the work and train even harder for future stops,” according to the report.

Blue Ivy made her stage debut in May during Beyoncé’s Paris show, shining brightly in an all-silver ensemble with Queen Bey’s backup dancers during a performance of My Power.

However, the Grammy winner said that she had reservations about allowing her daughter to perform on stage with her.

“She told me she was ready to perform, and I told her no,” Beyoncé said.

Blue Ivy, on the other hand, persevered and made a positive transformation in the aftermath of the criticism, rejoining her mother on stage for further performances.
