Beyoncé’ Contribution to Nigerian Restaurant Melts Fans

Fans were thrilled when Beyoncé gave $10,182 to a Nigerian restaurant in North London.

According to Daily Mail, Emeka and Ifeyinwa Frederik, who run Chuku’s, a Nigerian tapas restaurant in Tottenham, were one of 10 winners this month to get a gift from the singer.

As part of her Renaissance World Tour, the singer’s charity, BeyGOOD, is said to have promised to give a share of $1 million to ten businesses in cities all over the world.

The Nigerian restaurant was having a hard time and was in danger because its energy bills were going up.

Only two percent of the winners at The Black Parade Small Business Impact Luncheon were siblings who owned Chuku.

After Chuku won, one of its founders, Emeka, said, “This grant couldn’t be more welcome.”

“Chuku’s, like other restaurants that don’t have a financial reserve, has been battered by lockdowns and the cost of living crisis,” said Emeka.
