At her Renaissance World Tour birthday show in L.A. on Monday night, Beyoncé gave a shout-out to Tia Mowry.
Monday was the pop star’s birthday, and she had a show at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. Many famous people were there. But Queen Bey couldn’t help but gush when she saw the Sister, Sister star in the crowd.
Beyoncé was singing 1+1, a song she put out in 2011. When Grammy winner Tia Mowry was in the audience, she chose to bring back the ’90s.
So, she changed the song on the spot to include words from the 1990s hit Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!
Voices, which included Mowry and her twin sister Tamera, put out the song “Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!” more than twenty years ago. The song first showed up on the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 76 in 1992.
Fans on X, which used to be called Twitter, were stunned during the sweet moment.
Tuesday, Tia Mowry posted a picture of the touching act on Instagram and wrote that she was “so touched” and “can’t believe it really happened.”
She praised “Beyoncé’s undeniable talent” and said that “her incredible kindness and generosity” is the only thing that comes close to it.
“I felt so lucky to have been able to see her perform Renaissance on her birthday,” Mowry wrote in the post’s title, which was accompanied by an old picture of Tamera and her with members of Destiny’s Child.
Mowry added, “You can truly see how amazing and detailed an artist she is, and how much thought and love was put into this show.”
