After the 2023 March Madness bracket was unveiled, the stage was set for college basketball’s most crucial event.
Alabama, which plays in the Southern region, got the top overall seed for the first time in its history on Selection Sunday, which CBS and the NCAA held this week.
Moreover, Purdue, Kansas, and Houston were selected as the top seeds in the East, Midwest, and West regions, respectively.
On the women’s side, South Carolina reclaimed the No. 1 overall seed as coach Dawn Staley, and her Gamecocks try to not only return to the Final Four for the sixth time in seven years but also defend their title from 2022.
Stanford, Indiana, and Virginia Tech were also selected as the top seed in their respective areas.
The men’s Final Four is scheduled to begin on April 1, with the championship game scheduled for April 3 at NRG Stadium in Houston. The women’s championship game will take place at American Airlines Arena in Dallas on April 2.
