With the holidays closing in, many concert venues and nightclubs are taking a breather from hosting live music music this week as people enjoy private events and time at home with family. However, there are a few shows to be seen — as well as tickets available for newly-announced events in the new year.

In coastal Sussex County, the stage of the Milton Theatre is spotlighting holiday music this week with a number of concerts. On Thursday, Dec. 21, the theater will host two performances in one day of “A Merry Manilow Christmas — The Music of Barry Manilow” (as performed by tribute artist Mark Sanders).
An afternoon matinee at 2 p.m. will be followed by an evening presentation at 7:30 p.m.; tickets prices range from $27 to $35 for both.
At 7:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 22, holiday classics that were sung by a trio of legendary crooners back in the day will be featured as the Milton Theatre has a sold-out show called “Christmas With the Rat Pack … Together Again.” The concert features Tony Sands as Frank Sinatra; Jeff Foote as Sammy Davis Jr.; and Robert Cabella as Dean Martin.
At 8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 23, the theater will showcase a plethora of local singers and dancers when it presents “Milton’s Merry Melodies: A Hometown Holiday Cabaret” ($22).
