Billie Eilish said that she and her ex-boyfriend Jesse Rutherford are still friends, even though they broke up quickly at the beginning of this year.

Friday, the singer of “Bad Guy” held a Q&A on her Instagram, giving fans a chance to learn more about her life.

“Jesse???” possibly alluding to the status of their relationship, to which the singer responded: “very very good friends only [human heart emoji],” adding, “my homie forever [hug emoji].”

Rutherford, who is 21, and Eilish, who is 20, were first linked to each other after a night out at a veggie restaurant in West Hollywood in October.

The singer of “Party’s Over” made their relationship official on Instagram by posting a number of photos, including one of her dressed as a baby next to Rutherford’s Halloween costume as an old man.

The couple made news when they walked the red carpet for the first time at the LACMA Art + Film Gala 2022 in November. They wore outfits with bedtime themes that matched.

Later that month, Eilish told Vanity Fair all about her relationship with the Neighborhood star. She said she was “really happy and excited” to be dating him and called him the “hottest [expletive] alive.”

“Can we just [get a] round of applause for me?” She laughed. “Thank you, Jesse Rutherford, everyone.”

In May of this year, Eilish’s rep said that the couple was no longer together, but that the split was friendly.

During the session, Eilish also talked about her relationship state. She said that she has been single since she broke up with Rutherford.

When a fan asked if she’s dating anyone right now, the singer said, “NO SIRRRRRRR,” adding a couple of happy emojis to emphasize her point.
