Billie Eilish Gives an Emotional Speech for ‘Barbie’ at the 2024 Golden Globes

Billie Eilish gave an emotional acceptance speech after winning Best Song – Motion Picture for her iconic Barbie song, What Was I Made For?

The singer accepted the honor with her brother, Finneas O’Connell, who co-wrote Barbie’s soulful ballad with her.

Billie began by expressing her gratitude to the film’s director-writer Greta Gerwig, star Margot Robbie, and others.

She later praised her brother, stating, “I was not expecting this in this moment Thank you to my brother, Finneas. You are the reason I am who I am.”

“It was exactly a year ago almost that we were shown the movie and I was very, very miserable and depressed at the time. Writing that song kind of saved me a little bit,” the Lovely singer recalled of her recent terrible year.

“A year later and here we are. It’s really surreal. I feel incredibly, incredibly lucky, incredibly lucky and grateful,” she concluded.

While praising all of the musicians included on the show, Billie exclaimed, “You guys scare the living hell out of me — everyone in this room! Thank you so much! This means the world!”

In the same category, the brilliant sibling duo won in 2022 for their song No Time to Die.
