Birmingham Fire and Rescue: 3 hit by car, including 1 child and infant


BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – Medics with Birmingham Fire and Rescue are responding after several pedestrians were hit by a car in what authorities are calling a trick-or-treating related incident.

Birmingham Fire and Rescue responded to 9th Ave South and 56th St. South just before 8 p.m. Upon arrival, medics found three people were struck by a vehicle, including a child, adult female and an infant.

The child was taken to the hospital with critical injuries. The adult female and infant are being taken to the hospital for further evaluation, but authorities say they have minor injuries.
