Black Swamp Arts Festival seeks directors – Sent-trib

The Black Swamp Arts Festival in need of directors to serve on the board.

For over three decades, the Black Swamp Arts Festival has stood as a vibrant pillar of creativity and community in Bowling Green. This three-day celebration of music and art brings together thousands of attendees, artists, and performers, showcasing the incredible talents of our region.

However, this festival cannot thrive without dedicated individuals at the helm. We are specifically reaching out for passionate volunteers to fill two pivotal board positions: development and visual arts.

Filling the development and visual arts positions on the board is essential to ensure we have the leadership necessary to carry our mission forward.

The development committee plays a significant role in soliciting funding and expressing gratitude to donors. Without dedicated members, the festival risks losing vital financial support that keeps it alive.

The visual arts committee shapes the aesthetic landscape of the festival, coordinating a large part of our festival, the artists.

New ideas and fresh perspectives are essential for growth. By filling these positions, the board welcomes individuals who bring unique skills and insights, enabling the BSAF to evolve and adapt to the changing landscape of arts and culture. The development committee can explore innovative funding opportunities, while the visual arts committee can introduce exciting new programs, such as interactive art installations or collaborations with local schools.

Anyone interest in stepping forward in the continuing success of the best festival around is asked to email [email protected].
