BLACKPINK, the first non-British musician to get an honorary MBE in appreciation of their contribution as Advocates for the COP26 Summit in Glasgow, has created history.
The members of the Korean band appear to have been the honorees, as they obtained a distinguished title.
The historic events were published on the royal family’s social media sites, with the caption: “The King, joined by The President and First Lady of the Republic of Korea, has welcomed @BLACKPINK to Buckingham Palace, as they are awarded Honorary MBEs.
The K-Pop band have been awarded the honours in recognition of their role as Advocates for the COP26 Summit in Glasgow.”
The members have shown their prestige and power with a very remarkable and royal achievement. They are now in London after attending King Charles’ special luncheon on November 22.
The film displayed the lapel medal that MBE recipients get, which is considered exceedingly prestigious.
The members were then presented with their MBEs by King Charles III, who shook their hands and gave a few words to each of them. An MBE is awarded to individuals for their outstanding contributions to the arts and sciences, philanthropic and social activities, and public service outside of the civil service.
