CUMBERLAND – Blackstone River Theatre’s Art Gallery will host an exhibition and sale of paintings by Robin Cantrell Hogg through Nov. 30, viewable two hours before and during scheduled theater events, in the upper and lower lobby of the Blackstone River Theatre, 549 Broad St. The BRT Art Gallery is an ongoing initiative to have the work of local visual artists combine with BRT’s performing arts programming to enhance the audience’s total experience.

“These paintings each represent a series begun during the dark days of the COVID pandemic when time was plentiful. The motto was and still is ‘A painting a day,’” says Hogg. “Birds, fish, sheep, moths, monkeys, etc., gave way to portraits of artists, dogs, landscapes, cloudscapes and abstracts. Humor was the overriding theme.”
