Blank clothing to become wearable works at Armory Art Center

Bring a white item of clothing to the Armory Art Center on Jan. 25 and go home with a work of art.

The West Palm Beach center will host “Artistry: Get Painted Plus!” at which more than 20 artists will turn the blank articles of clothing into wearable works.

The event is curated by co-chairs Lynn Feld and Linda Silpe. Proceeds support the Armory Art Center’s visual art programs, including art classes, multiple healing-arts programs and art exhibits for Palm Beach County residents.

“This event gives guests the chance to enjoy a one-of-a-kind piece for years to come,” Silpe said. “And they can feel good about their purchase, because proceeds support the Armory Art Center’s arts programming.”

The evening starts at 6 p.m. at the center, near The Square at 811 Park Place. Guests can also participate in a silent auction featuring artist-designed boxes filled with special treasures, plus a cocktail buffet and visual art activities to enjoy while their canvas couture is created.

Tickets start at $275, and sponsorship opportunities are available. To learn more or buy tickets, visit armoryart.org/Artistry.
