AUSTIN, Texas — The Blue Genie Art Bazaar opened Saturday for its 23rd year, it’s an Austin holiday shopping tradition. The event takes place at 6100 Airport Boulevard in Austin, and will run through December 24th.

The Bazaar is open daily from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. and closing at 6 p.m. on December 24th.

The work of roughly 200 artists are featured, with over 400 people having applied.

Hand-crafted items featured from these artists include clothing, fine art, jewelry, home decor, pottery and one-of-a-kind gifts.

The event was founded in 2001 by four artists at Blue Genie Art Industries, and has since grown from an East Austin pop-up store to a yearly Austin holiday shopping tradition.
