OGUNQUIT, Maine — Music, theatre, and the arts will take center stage at Main Beach on Saturday, June 14, as the annual BonAire! festival returns to celebrate Ogunquit’s vibrant cultural scene.
The festival, which highlights the contributions of the visual and performing arts communities, offers a full day of free entertainment, including live music, theatre, and family-friendly activities.
The festivities kick off early, with renowned sand artist Subby showcasing his craft from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. An artisan craft fair opens at 9 a.m., featuring more than 50 local entrepreneurs selling their handmade goods near the festival’s main performance stage.
Music and theatre performances begin at 11 a.m. on the Main Beach Music Stage, which will spotlight “Stages of Ogunquit,” a lineup featuring talent from Ogunquit Playhouse (Arts Academy Performers), Jonathan’s Ogunquit (Eric Andrews Quintet), The Front Porch Piano Bar (George Howe), MaineStreet (Dueling Drag Divas), and The Leavitt Theatre (The Dirt Boys).
Spectators can also catch performances from the Maine Youth Circus, offering entertainment between the scheduled music and theatre sets.
Other businesses throughout Ogunquit will be announcing additional promotions and events for the weekend. Possible additions are an art walk from Perkins Cove to downtown on Friday night, and BonAire at Beach Plum Farm on Saturday afternoon, featuring artisan goods, a raptor program, and refreshments.
