FARMVILLE, Va. – Two books equals one ticket on Thursday night as Longwood men’s basketball hosts the Apprentice School.
Fans can bring two gently used or new books, which will be donated to the Virginia Children’s Book Festival, to receive one free ticket to the Joan Perry Brock Center for the game.
The Virginia Children’s Book Festival was created to inspire kids to want to read, and to make reading accessible to every child, regardless of circumstance. The VCBF wants every child to see themselves in books, and to become readers for their entire lives. Donations from tonight’s game will support their efforts in continuing to deliver over 30,000 books to young readers in our area each year. For more information visit vachildrensbookfestival.org
The Lancer men (6-1) will wrap up a five game homestand that night to close out the month of November, and the team is off to its best start through seven games in its Division I history. Longwood has won six straight games and is unbeaten at the Joan Perry Brock Center.
Tickets for all home basketball games are on sale at www.longwoodlancers.com/tickets.
