Boone police, Crime Stoppers looking for car break in suspects


BOONE, N.C. (WBTV) – The Boone Police Department and High Country Crime Stoppers are asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects accused of breaking into vehicles.

Officers say they responded to reports of car break-ins on Feb. 15 around The Standard Apartment Complex parking garage on Blowing Rock Road.

The suspects were seen by officers at the scene, but weren’t able to be found.

According to police, both suspects appear to be young, thin males of average height.

The first suspect has medium-length dark hair and dark eyes and was seen in an orange ski mask, gray and black striped shirt, camouflage pants, and gray or white tennis shoes, police said.

The second is described as wearing a purple mask, a green hooded sweatshirt, jeans and white tennis shoes. Officers say he appears to have long hair tied in a bun.

All information will be kept confidential and rewards are paid for information leading to arrests, stolen property recovery, seizure of drugs and location of wanted people.
