Toss bags and raise money for local students at the eighth-annual North End Cornhole Classic.
The competition will be hosted on the The Rose Kennedy Greenway from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 1.
The event will raise money for the Geraldine Marshall Scholarship Fund and the North End Music and Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC).
The scholarship fund, which is entering its 10th year, “continues to preserve the legacy of a woman who loved children and the arts,” NEMPAC’s website reads.
“Marshall’s love of the arts and passion for the North End has inspired $52,000 in scholarships awarded to 49 youth students over the last 10 years to students seeking to participate in an arts enrichment program, such as private music lessons, enrollment in a group instrument program, or an after-school musical theatre,” the website continued.
Teams can enter the competition for $100. Tickets come with two guaranteed games, two New Balance T-shirts, two Ward 8 drink ticket and a sandwich package from Pauli’s North End.
Check-in starts at 11 a.m. and tournament play starts at noon. The classic also has free spectator passes for those looking to take in all the action. The pass comes with guaranteed entry in the event and automatic entry in a raffle.
