Boygenius Duo Receives First Grammy Nomination in Debut Year

Boygenius won the Best Rock Song award for their captivating track Not Strong Enough.

The single, which appeared on the trio’s debut album The Record, beat over difficult opponents such as Foo Fighters’ Rescued, Olivia Rodrigo’s Ballad of a Homeschooled Girl, Queens of the Stone Age’s Emotion Sickness, and The Rolling Stones’ Angry.

Not Strong Enough is not only a singular hit; it has been nominated for Record of the Year and Best Rock Performance at this year’s Grammys.

Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker, and Lucy Dacus are nominated for Best Alternative Music Performance, Cool About It, Album of the Year, and Best Alternative Music Album.

This is the collaborative trio’s first Grammy nomination, recognising their successful debut year on the famous stage.

Notably, none of the individual members – Bridgers, Baker, or Dacus – had won a Grammy before this win, despite Bridgers receiving four nominations for the 2020 Grammys, including Best New Artist and Best Rock Song.
