Here comes Duncanville.
Last year’s mythical national champion makes its first appearance in The Dallas Morning News’ boys basketball rankings since the preseason.
Since losing to No. 12 Waxahachie in early January, No. 13 Duncanville has won seven straight games. Duncanville beat Waxahachie 83-77 on Tuesday night and is now 8–2 in District 11-6A. Waxahachie and Mansfield Lake Ridge, which Duncanville defeated 74-57 on Jan. 23, also have 8–2 records.
Four-star junior guard Kayden Edwards scored 28 points for Duncanville and four-star junior forward BJ Davis-Ray added 19 points in the win over Waxahachie on Tuesday.
Denton Guyer also makes its first appearance of the season in The News’ boys basketball rankings after a 75-72 win over No. 5 Allen on Tuesday.
No.1 Plano East remains undefeated, while some ranked teams fall.
