SENECA — Stepping into the gallery at Blue Ridge Arts Center, spirits immediately begin to soar, and a sense of wonder emerges from where it often gets buried in the day-to-day rush. Kites hang from the ceiling, while others stand at attention in a colorful sea across the floor.
But these are no ordinary kites. These are handmade sculptures of bamboo, paper and ink created by artist Susan Perry. Perry has been working at the craft for 40 years, and her show, “Unveiling,” opens tonight to showcase her work.
