The documentary features interviews with former employees and fashion experts, as well as former executives, who discuss Brandy Melville’s “troubling toxic work environment and discriminatory recruiting methods,” according to Max’s press release. WWD has put in a request for comment from the brand.
Additionally, “Brandy Hellville & The Cult of Fast Fashion” sheds light on the fashion industry’s sustainability problem, traveling to Accra, Ghana, a destination for discarded textiles that end up polluting landfills and waters.
