Brantley Gilbert to perform at Salamanca casino Feb. 10

SALAMANCA — The Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino is giving music fans in the Southern Tier and surrounding area plenty to be thankful for this season with the announcement that Brantley Gilbert will perform in the Seneca Allegany Event Center on Saturday, Feb. 10.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday.

Gilbert has charted a successful course in country music over the last decade. The Jefferson, Ga., native began singing and songwriting when he was just a teenager. He grew up hearing country music, but he also listened to rock bands like R.E.M., the B-52s and Southern rock bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd.

According to Gilbert, a near-fatal car accident he was in at 19 years old spurred him to dedicate himself to his musical career.

“I remember thinking, ‘This can be over at any point. I want to make sure I’m at least doing what I love,” he told Country Rebel in 2018.

Moving to Nashville, he signed with Warner Chappell Publishing and began working toward completing an album. “Modern Day Prodigal Son” arrived in 2009 from Average Joe’s, which also released the follow-up, “Halfway to Heaven,” in 2010.

Gilbert’s authentic songwriting resonates with audiences, vividly portraying the narrative of contemporary blue-collar life in America, and has garnered him multiple industry awards, including Country Music Association Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards, American Music Awards and other honors.

A committed supporter of the United States military, Gilbert has embarked on multiple USO tours and headlined benefits for America’s service men and women.

“They were so appreciative of us being there that we came back feeling like we were the lucky ones,” he told the USO in a 2019 interview. “We felt lucky just to get the chance to do it.”

Gilbert’s six studio albums have generated many memorable songs, including five No. 1 singles. The chart-toppers include “Country Must Be Country Wide,” “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do” and “Bottoms Up,” among others. His latest album, “So Help Me God,” was released in November 2022 with the singles “The Worst Country Song of All Time” and “Heaven By Then.”

Tickets for the 7 p.m. show on Feb. 10 start at $55.
