Sid was discussing politics alongside Mike Eppel before the camera cut to black and their mics were cut off after the segment was completed on BT.

However, a ‘glitch’ meant that the cameras and mics were turned back on when the presenters seemed to assume they were on an ad break.

The pair then engaged in a conversation, in which they seemingly thought they were hidden from the public.

Mike, who appeared on a screen in the studio, was riffling behind his desk while looking at newspapers.

Sid said: “Mike Eppel it warms my heart to see you sifting through a newspaper every time I catch you doing it.”

The camera abruptly zoomed in and out which gave the impression that they did not realise the show was still live.

Mike held up a paper and replied: “Dude I printed out the fall economic statement, 140 pages of it.”

Sid was shocked: “What?”

His co-presenter continued: “Yeah because I want to see some things.”

Sid looked to producers off-camera and spoke loudly: “F**k the trees.”

He laughed loudly and leant forward in amusement.

Mike put his arms out: “I got lots of trees, you want trees? Come to my farm, I’ve got trees.

“Supposedly recycled paper. Whatever, I don’t care.”

The camera again zoomed in and out quickly as it adjusted.

After this encounter, the screens cut to black without any sound for a few minutes before an ad break was played.

FAN REACTIONS

Fans were shocked and flooded the comments with disapproval of the star’s conversations.

One passionate fan said: “I JUST HATE WHENEVER MEAN AND TOXIC PEOPLE NORMALIZING AND ENABLING SOMEONE’S TERRIBLE BEHAVIOR!!! I’M SPECIFICALLY AND ONLY REFERRING TO THE FACT THAT SID SAID THE F WORD!! Y R U TAKING LIGHTLY?”

Another wrote: “Did Sid swear?”

One offended fan wrote: “I think it shows how stupid Sid is.”

A fourth fan commented: “I always miss the best bits.”

Another claimed the situation was ‘toxic,’ despite the show apologising in the live comment feed via their YouTube stream.

TECHNICAL BLUNDER

This was not the first blunder made live on air, with Sid going “off the rails” during a previous episode.

On the show, Sid presented a segment alongside his co-host, Melissa Duggan.

The pair started their section and discussed public funding in Canada.

Melissa started the segment: “So we asked you all to sound off and you sure did this morning. Oh boy.”

She asked: “Should public funds go towards monuments, that’s the question we’re asking Sid.”

Sid answered: “Yep. Let’s get to it.”

The pair proceeded to read out user submissions but ended up getting confused and rereading lines that had already been said.

Sid later said: “A tweet from Yoda.”

Melissa interrupted and said: “I just did that one.”

Sid ignored her and said in an imitation voice: “Yoda wrote in ‘No never we should’ Star Wars.”

He continued: “We have health care, education, and teachers.”

The presenter was interrupted by laughter off-camera.

Melissa repeated: “I just, I read that one too.”

Sid laughed: “Oh you read that one?”

He laughed and covered his eyes with his hand before sitting forward and putting his head down.
