‘CHILI’ WEATHER: The annual Chilifest with entertainment, contests and more begins at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at Pullman Square. Proceeds benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Huntington. Winners are announced at 5:30 p.m.

LEADER: James Plymale with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Central is one of 23 individuals recently named to the second Leadership Huntington class hosted by Huntington Regional Chamber of Commerce. The program/class brings together leaders from diverse industries and backgrounds to foster collaboration, promote community involvement and develop a network of informed and engaged leaders. I have known James since he was probably in college (or maybe younger) and it isn’t surprising that he is a leader. He was friendly, focused, genuine and true, showed initiative and had good communication skills.
