Britney Spears’ New Memoir Mockingly ‘Blesses’ Kevin Federline’s Rap Career

When Britney Spears wrote her future book, The Women In Me, she made fun of her ex-husband Kevin Federline and his failed rap career.

Wed., the singer of “Gimme More” writes without hesitation, “Bless his heart” for taking his short-lived rap career “so seriously.”

According to the magazine, Spears, who is 41 years old, also talks about how people “doubted” Federline’s singing skills while they were married.

Federline, 45, hit the big time with his first song, “Y’all Ain’t Ready,” in 2005, before the highly panned “Popozão.”

Playing with Fire, his first and only record, came out in 2006.

One reviewer for Rolling Stone said that FedEx’s “rhyme flow” was “the opposite of tight,” and another for Slant Magazine said that his record was “just as disposable and dumb as you’d expect.”

Someone else from Billboard said, “In general, Federline enunciates well.”

Federline’s music career was a huge step up from Spears’s, who was a pop star who topped the charts.

In October 2004, the singer from Toxic and the lead dancer got married.
