BTS Achieves Oricon Record with Over 700 Million Streams on ‘Dynamite’

BTS, the K-pop sensation, has made a remarkable achievement on Oricon by securing the second song in its history to garner 700 million streams with their hit track, Dynamite. Oricon is a leading Japanese website that offers comprehensive statistics on both the Western and Japanese music industries.

During the week of April 3rd to April 9th, the song garnered 1,845,716 hits, translating to approximately 701.1 million streams. These male and foreign artists have made history on the site by becoming the second overall to achieve this milestone.

Yoasobi’s Yoru ni Kakeru is the sole track on Oricon to have surpassed 700 million streams. In 2020, Dynamite was first released, and in February 2022, it became the first foreign track to receive a diamond certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) for achieving 500 million views.
