With his first solo album, BTS’s Jimin made history on the Billboard Hot 100. On March 24, he put out his title song and his album Face.
Billboard’s top ten list for the Hot 100 chart came out on April 3. It showed that Jimin’s song “Like Crazy” went straight to No. 1 on the chart. This makes him the first Korean solo artist in the history of Billboard to debut at No. 1. It is also his first time being at the top as a solo artist.
The first week after the album came out, the singer sold about 254,000 copies. He also got an amazing 100 million streams and around 64,000 radio airplay audience impressions.
Since November, when American singer Taylor Swift released Anti-Hero, this is the most records that have been sold in a single week since then. This is his second solo song to appear on the Hot 100 chart. His pre-release song Set Me Free Pt. 2 debuted at No. 30.
