BTS Suga Has the Second Best First-Week Sales of Any Solo Artist in the K-Pop Industry

Suga from the K-pop group BTS had the second most sales in the first week of any K-pop single artist in the history of Hanteo. On April 21, the rapper’s first record by himself, called D-Day, came out.

Right after the album came out, he broke the record for most copies sold on the first day by a single album by selling 1,072,311 copies. Hanteo Chart says that Suga has already sold 1,072,311 copies of the record in the first week since it came out.

His bandmate Jimin beat him with his recent solo debut album Face, which broke the record. Suga is the ninth best-selling artist overall after his group BTS, Blackpink, TXT, Seventeen, NCT Dream, NCT 127, Stray Kids, and Jimin.

He also released his first solo documentary on April 21. This film follows the rapper as he travels to different places and shows how the album was made.
